Mariano’s Fresh Market
Titan Electric was selected as the electrical subcontractor for Mariano’s Fresh Market’s new flagship store located in Chicago’s West Loop.
The two-story, 70,000 square foot project, under consideration for LEED Silver Certification, features a number of energy-saving items including daylight harvesting; a building automation system installed to ensure the most efficient use of energy and water; a pre-vegetated modular green roofing system designed to reduce the urban heat island effect, reduce noise, conserve water and reduce storm water runoff; and a parking garage with priority spacing for hybrid vehicles.
Shoppers will find a number of amenities at this store such as a fresh oyster bar, a Sweet Shoppe with hand-dipped caramel apples, a classroom kitchen for special events and chef demonstrations, and an imported Italian oven for fresh-fired pizza.
With all BIM drawings completed in house, Titan installed:
-
Pendant fixtures installed 40 feet below the ceiling
-
A programmable, field-designed neon sign with an LED up-and-down lighting system on a custom wave wall
-
3000amp switchboard, fire alarm system, tele/data system, paging system, background music system, security wiring and energy management wiring
-
Power and control wiring to all escalators, shopping cart conveyors, freight and passenger elevators, freezers, walk-in coolers, refrigerators and food equipment
Leopardo Construction was the general contractor for the project with architectural services provided by Stewart-Nosky Architects.
