De Nobili Hall
Just in time for the fall semester, Titan Electric completed the five-story, 85,000 square foot DeNobili Hall student housing project for Loyola University at its Chicago Lake Shore Campus. Located in the Rogers Park area of Chicago, this is the fifth facility that Titan Electric has built for the university. Other projects include the LEED GoldCertified Cuneo Hall, the Halas Recreation Center, the Joseph J. Gentile Arena and the Norville Center for Intercollegiate Athletics.
Housing 200 students, De Nobili Hall can also accommodate up to 350 individuals in the dining area, giving students and faculty another campus dining option. Dorm room features include basic cable TV, wireless internet access, heat and air conditioning and modern furnishings. Building features include TV lounges on each floor, microwave/kitchenette access, laundry facilities and community restrooms for first year students, elevators, and university staff offices.
Titan’s involvement included:
- Installation of a 2500amp service, a 200kw backup generator, a fire alarm system, a tele/data system, LED lighting throughout the food court, and security wiring and lighting controls throughout the building
- In the dining area, completion of a fully functional kitchen area including 3 kitchens with grills, pizza ovens and multiple large freezers, along with a Halon Fire Suppression System
- In-house BIM drawings coordinating construction in numerous ceiling elevations in the dining area Power Construction was the general contractor for the project with architectural services provided by Solomon Cordwell Buenz.
